iTero Intraoral Scanner
Most people do not know what their teeth look like from a dentist’s perspective. With our new iTero Lumina camera, we can take a scan of your mouth (no radiation) and create a virtual model on our monitor. Besides showing you what your teeth look like up close, we can actually use it to diagnose cavities in between your teeth as an adjunct to routine x-rays. It can also show us how your teeth bite together, wear and recession on your teeth, and as we take more scans in the future, we can see what changes happen over time. This scan is accurate enough that we can use it to send files to the lab instead of having to take messy impressions. Finally, it can give us a digital simulation of what your teeth could look like if we straighten them with clear aligners.
